Satoru Fujimoto , a reclusive student constantly despised by his classmates, is transported along with his class to a fantasy world where they are called heroes. Alongside Yui Koharu , he soon discovers that the kingdom that summoned them hides many lies and that his true ability may be far more important than anyone imagines.
During the journey, the two form new bonds, face enemies, and discover secrets about their own origins. As truths about demons, angels, gods, Guardians, and different worlds begin to emerge, Fujimoto realizes that his arrival in that world may have been far from just a coincidence.
